Are there any reliable/safe options to download mp3s from Youtube or are they all garbage now? There's a lot of rare audio that I can't just up and buy and would like to capture for myself before it ends up lost. Any recommendations/personal preference

I used to use YTD Downloader, but I haven't downloaded anything off Youtube in a long time so I don't know if it still works or if it even exists anymore.

A small edit to the URL will redirect you to y2mate. Add "pp" after the "e" in YouTube:

It works fine also through TOR if you do not want a lawsuit for downloading…now they will have to work for it.

But do NOT watch you-tube videos on TOR, they will see you IP , so copy&paste the link from other browser or a older text document when choosing videos to download

yes. but not P2P networks like torrents or youtube. cannot tell you why but those expose your real IP. its described on the TOR site.
