Of course whole milk Greek yogurt tastes better, but I don't always want the extra calories. Sometimes what I'll do is mix in some olive oil. Pretty healthy because you're mixing a decent protein and probiotic source with a healthy monounsaturated fat with the additional benefits of the polyphenols from the olives. Sounds weird, but it's actually delicious.

I pre-portion all my meals for the week on sundays, my little fruity yogurt thing is as close to a desert as I get. I tend to use fresh raspberries, but for things like blueberries or pineapple, I prefer thawed out frozen stuff, since the cellular breakdown due to freezing/canning makes it mix with the yogurt easier.
I lost my ability to smell, so taste is kinda limited regardless, and I don't have much of a sweet tooth, so I don't really need to count every calorie. My inbetween snacks are like nuts and broccoli/cauliflower with ranch, or occasionally those tiny cheese wheels.
I don't understand how people can drink soda, it just feels syrupy and gross to me, but I've heard a lot of people say that after they cut it out of their diets long enough. Then again I'm one to judge, I drink straight vodka like water, and thats like liquid death to most people. The lack of smell made me really sensitive to the "mouth feel" of things.
Also I hate strawberries, don't know why but those things creep me out.

Never eat frozen watermelon that's been in the freezer for 2 weeks.
But, if you eat too much watermelon, it can cause bloating, gas, flatulence, diarrhea, and other such stomach troubles. This is majorly due to the presence of sorbitol, which is a sugar compound, and lycopene, which gives the fruit its bright red color. Both substances promote gas problems and loose stools.

Mad honey is produced by bees who feed on specific species of rhododendron plants, which grow in mountainous regions like those surrounding the Black Sea. For centuries, people have used mad honey for recreational, medicinal, and military purposes. Low doses cause euphoria and lightheadedness, while high doses cause hallucinations and, in rare cases, death. Mad honey is still harvested and sold today, though it's illegal in some nations.
On the mountainsides of Nepal and Turkey, bees produce a strange and dangerous concoction: mad honey.
It’s a rare variety of the natural fluid. Compared to the several hundred other types of honey produced around the world, mad honey is redder and slightly more bitter tasting, and it comes from the world’s largest honey bee, Apis dorsata laboriosa.
But what really distinguishes mad honey are its physiological effects. In lower doses, mad honey causes dizziness, lightheadedness, and euphoria. Higher doses can cause hallucinations, vomiting, loss of consciousness, seizures, and, in rare cases, death.

>>3698690, yeah there was a good bit of fat. But I removed most of it before eating. Easily achieved as the fat is soft and practically scrapes off like butter when heated. The firmer fat on top, as you can see, is even somewhat detached already on that one. You can see there isn't much intramuscular fat - it's all around the edges. It's wasteful to throw out the fat, but it's not because I don't like the taste.
Anyway, saying lamb has too much fat is like saying beef has too much fat. It really depends on the cut. I never buy ground lamb, because yeah it's too much fat for my taste. And I never buy ribeye steaks for the same reason. I usually go for lean cuts like sirloin. Occasionally, I'll get a strip steak, because they're delicious. What the grocery stores label "stew meat" is usually very lean whether it's beef or lamb. The idea is you'd have to skim most of the fat off the top in a stew, so it's various lean cuts.
Really, I can't think of a kind of meat I hate. I love meat in general. I quit buying pork, but I'll still eat it if it's offered to me.

me eating animals (sentient or otherwise), if that's what you're asking.
4e876f68 No.3699266
At some level, most people recognize slaughtering animals for food as a kind of evil, but a necessary evil. It is incumbent on mindful carnivores and omnivores to enjoy meat and its benefits and not waste it. Wasting meat is a sin. It means you killed more than you needed. Necessary evil becomes needless slaughter.
If I can pick and choose which animals are spared, I'll choose the more intelligent animals and perhaps those that are too close to us in other regards. Both pigs and octopi are relatively intelligent for commonly eaten animals. I don't believe their meat endows any special health benefit. I can certainly thrive without consuming it. A small sacrifice on my part to diminish the industrialized slaughter of these animals.
Maybe I'm talking nonsense. If the slaughter of pigs ceased, pigs themselves would cease. We would no longer have use for them. Their existence is predicated on their slaughter, but not on their suffering up until that point.
What a fucked up state of affairs. But that's life. Cope however keeps you sane. Maybe come up with kinder solutions to meet our needs. That's what Temple Grandin did.

>>3699266>Maybe I'm talking nonsense. You're not. I'm about to ramble… despite humans being an apex predator (only by means of our ancestors developing tools to defend themselves and hunt), that gives us no right to inflict unnessicary suffering, edible creature or not. I have seen the industrialized cruelty and horror of slaughterhouses, industrial chicken and dairy farms…
Even meat aside, the amount of food we waste is mind boggling. Efforts like this are a good first step:
https://thetakeout.com/cheapest-food-apps-to-good-to-go-olio-reduce-food-waste-1849563782Having worked in foodservice, I have seen firsthand the sheer volume of perfectly edible food get sent to the dumpster. >>3699266>At some level, most people recognize slaughtering animals for food as a kind of evil, but a necessary evil. Not really.
Most people, excluding children, are at level two of moral development. That is the conventional stage, which is oriented towards social norms and law. It has nothing to do with moral evils, but simply repeating popular talking points and keeping the toe on the line to stay out of trouble.
One level above, you get belief based on principle - or no principle - so you have the existentialists making up arbitrary rules based on their own preferences, and then the nihilists denying any rules based on their rejection of other people's rules. That's maybe 10% of the population. They don't care whether it's right or wrong, but whether it furthers their own agenda.
Then there are people who realize that the whole point doesn't matter.

You have some moral code, everyone has one. Even if it's simply "Do what I want to appease my hedonistic desires".
Now, if you ran a town/province/state/country/military, wouldn't you be imposed to assert your morality upon others?
Take the Spaniards and Aztecs for example. They cross the ocean to the new world and find ritualistic murder going on. They were forced by their morality to take action.
Did the Aztecs think they were doing anything amoral? No, of course not.

>>3700100> You can assume both cans contain incompressible Newtonian fluids for simplicity.No. Ketchup is non-newtonian, so the can of tomato soup can very well be so as well, and cranberry sauce is very similar in constitution.
4e876f68 No.3700185
>>3700171You're right about ketchup. The kind of cranberry sauce I was talking about is actually solid. I was just trying to make the experiment easier to conceptualize at the acknowledged cost of accuracy.
The most basic reframing of the problem is this. Suppose you have two identical cans. In one, you fill with a liquid with zero viscosity. In the other, a substance that solidifies with the same density of the other can's contents. So this can contains a solid adhered to its inside. If these two cans are released simultaneously from the top of an inclined plane, which will reach the bottom first?
This scenario is much easier to do calculations with, especially if you assume the mass of the contents of each can is much greater than the mass of an empty can.
It's a fun experiment, because the speed difference is very noticeable.
